North Chelmsford Resident to Be Honored for Volunteer Work

Bruce Robinson is the Vice President of Fred C. Church Insurance Company.

A North Chelmsford resident is being honored for his long list of efforts in serving the Greater Lowell area.

According to a Patch board post, Bruce Robinson is the Vice President of Fred C. Church Insurance Company, and he will be honored by Community Teamwork for his efforts in the region.

Robinson serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc., Lowell Community Health Center, Lowell General Hospital, D’Youville Foundation and the Lowell Five Cent Savings Bank.

He has also served as the Board Chair for the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce and Big Brothers/Sisters of Greater Lowell.

On Thursday, May 15, Robinson will become one of five people honored as the 2014 Bridge Builder at Community Teamwork's "Celebrate Bridges to Independence" event.

“At one point in my life I heard a quote from Marian Wright Edelman, Founder and President of the Children's Defense Fund, who said Service is the rent we pay to be living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time,” said Robinson, according to the Patch board post. “This message has stuck with me and it is why I do what I do to give back. If everyone did a little something it would make a huge difference.”
