BRUCE ROBINSON TO BE HONORED BY COMMUNITY TEAMWORK

Bruce Robinson, Vice President at Fred C. Church Insurance Co, is being honored by Community Teamwork for his tireless commitment to the community.  Robinson serves on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc., Lowell Community Health Center, Lowell General Hospital (Philanthropy Chair, Past Chair Team Walk), D’Youville Foundation and the Lowell Five Cent Savings Bank.  He has served as the Board Chair for the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce and Big Brothers/Sisters of Greater Lowell.  He is also a past instructor for the Jr. Achievement Program at the Robinson Middle School in Lowell.

Robinson, who lives in North Chelmsford, is one of five being honored as a 2014 Bridge Builder at Community Teamwork’s Celebrate Bridges to Independence event on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

“At one point in my life I heard a quote from Marian Wright Edelman, Founder and President of the Children's Defense Fund, who said Service is the rent we pay to be living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time,” said Bruce Robinson.  “This message has stuck with me and it is why I do what I do to give back.  If everyone did a little something it would make a huge difference.”
