Bear Spotted in Chelmsford

A bear has been spotted in the Clydesdale Road and Draycoach Road area.

Chelmsford police alerted residents Wednesday morning after a bear was spotted in the area of Clydesdale Road and Draycoach Road. 

"No need to panic but be aware. If seen, do not approach. Contact police," police said via their official Twitter account. 

The sighting comes after a string of black bear sightings in nearby Westford earlier this summer

If you do spot a bear, residents are asked to contact Chelmsford Police at (978) 256-2521.
