When it comes to serving meals to those in need here in Chelmsford, few groups come to mind more quickly than the Table of Plenty.
And while they won't be having a Thanksgiving-specific meal, they have meals every Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the First Parish Universalist Church.
Here's a few ways you can help the Table of Plenty this holiday season.
- Donating Money: Donations can be mailed to 18 St. Andrews Way, N. Chelmsford,MA 01863 (c/o Table of Plenty in Chelmsford Inc.) and there's also a Paypal link on the Table's website. You can also dedicate a meal in someone's honor for $200.
- Donating Time: The group needs help with cooking, setting up, serving meals and in-meal musicians. Anyone interested can call 978-710-8328 or e-mail tableofplentyinchelmsford@gmail.com
- Eating at Friendly's on Thursday: 20 percent of all proceeds from meals purchased at Friendly's on Boston Road will go to the group. Just present this certificate while you are there.
