For Local Jeweler, Business is 'Labor of Love'

In our first in a series of Chelmsford Farmers Market vendors spotlights, we look at NCP Art.

For every piece of merchandise hanging underneath Nancy Paredes' tent at the Chelmsford Farmers Market, a great deal of work has gone into it. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

"It takes a lot of time to make jewelry," said Paredes. "I call it my labor of love because of the labor, and I love it. Some people spend a little, some just look. But when they appreciate what I do, that makes me the most happy."

Paredes runs NCP Art, which is among the venders at Chelmsford's Farmers Market, which is open weekly on Thursdays from 2-6:30 p.m.

NCP Art features a wide variety of jewelry, each of which Paredes makes by hand. The Chelmsford resident said she enjoys seeing the friendly faces that roll through Town Common each week.

"Great people, great vendors," said Paredes. "Farmers markets are the best. You get fresh everything, handmade, so it's great to be a part of this."
