What's your thoughts, Chelmsford?
Two weeks ago, we broke the news that Five Guys was coming to town, but we heard from some folks here on Patch and on our Facebook Page thinking Drum Hill Plaza wouldn't be able to take the traffic. So, we wanted to follow up and ask you if you think Drum Hill Plaza isn't a good location for Five Guys, where should it have gone? Would the old Aubuchon location have worked given the variety of restaurants on Summer Street? Maybe somewhere on Chelmsford Street? Or even somewhere else on Drum Hill? Or, do you think the location was a good move given the proximity of Panera and Moe's making it a one-stop shop for food? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

What do you think should fill that empty spot in the Hannaford/Walmart plaza?
Sure, it might not have been as noticeable as the departure of Stop and Shop or Aubuchon, but today we want to ask you for your thoughts on another empty store location in town: the old Amerprise between Cost Cutters and Moe's. We can probably rule out a Mexican restaurant or a hair salon, and a liquor store is unlikely even though it might be just beyond the capabilities of Tom Brady's arm strength from another liquor store. Other than that, what do you think should go there? And does the fact that it's on Drum Hill make that spot significantly different than say, a store in the Westlands or the Town Center or elsewhere in town? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Chelmsford's Aubuchon Hardware closed last week. Today we're asking you what should take its place.
The Aubuchon Hardware down on Summer Street closed last week, as indicated by the sign on the door we've attached here. So today we want to ask you, what do you think should go into that space? Another hardware store? Would that plaza be able to support another restaurant? Would it be retail or something more office related? Tell us what you think in the Comments section.

The old building is gone, what do you think should go in its place on Boston Road?
The construction equipment was out on Friday at the now former CVS site in the old Stop and Shop Plaza across from the Main Branch of the Library. All that's left is the rubble, so today we ask you what do you think should go in its place? Should there be another convenience store? Maybe a restaurant? Maybe some general retail store? Also, how will the former Stop and Shop Plaza's vacancy impact that space of town? Do you think the plaza will be filled first? Do you think the area should just be parking for the Friendly's a stone's throw away? Tell us what you think in the comments.

There are a lot of vacancies in this building.
Welcome to Visions for Vacancies, where you get to play developer. What should go in this building on Chelmsford Street?

What would you like to see here?
Welcome to Visions for Vacancies, a column where we ask you what you'd like to see in some of the vacant spots in town. What business would you like to see in the space next to Cynthia's Salon? Let us know in the comments.

What would you like to see here?
It's been at least five months since Zoots vacated this location, and although the building has been painted, there hasn't been a new tenant in this space. So we ask you: if you had it your way, what would go here? Tell us in the comments.

We want to know what you would like to see in the plaza.
With the new Stop and Shop open on Chelmsford Street, there has been plenty of discussion about the old Stop and Shop plaza in the center of town. Town officials recently discussed this plaza at the Board of Selectmen's public input session. At that session, officials said Stop and Shop is still collecting rent from Marshall's and therefore has been slow to consider redevelopment. Officials at that meeting also said it would be unlikely that Stop and Shop would lease to a competitor grocery store. Town Manager Paul Cohen also recently addressed the space at a live chat with Patch. But we want to know: If you were the developer, what would you like to see in this space? Tell us in the comments.

Welcome to Visions for Vacancies, where you tell us what you'd like to see in this location.
What would you like to see in the old Mattress Giant location in Drum Hill? Town Manager Paul Cohen in his recent live chat with us said a restaurant had looked into the property but no permits have been pulled with the Planning Board regarding the property. So if you got to play developer, what would go here? Tell us in the comments.
