Are you sick of the umbrella yet? The chilly weather? It's here to stay ... at least for another day. Today will be rainy and gray with a high of 58 degrees. Yikes ... have you turned on your heat yet? The McCarthy Middle School PTO is also meeting tonight at 7 at the school. Get the latest about what's going on in school and what you can do to help. The Master Plan Committee will present the 2010 Master Plan to the Planning Board tonight at 7 in Town Hall room 204. The Board of Selectmen on Monday voted to endorse the document - will the Planning Board follow suit? If planning isn't your thing and you're more into politics - never fear, the Republican Town Committee is also meeting tonight at 7 in room 205 in Town Hall. Not a fan of Town …

Budget Buddies Blasts Off, Students Get a Glimpse of the Future

A few college representatives will visit with CHS students today.

Don't put the galashes away just yet. Today is going to be another gray and rainy day, with showers throughout the day and a high of 61 degrees. Nothing says "welcome to fall" like this weather - we're dreading the day we have to pull our long-sleeve shirts again. Budget Buddies, a program that pairs female financial coaches with low-income women, will host a "blast off" celebration to kick off its pilot program. The celebration is Oct. 17 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Chelmsford Center for the Arts. Chelmsford High students will take the SATs this Saturday at 8 a.m. Good luck ... but we don't envy you. Pre Town Meeting Set, Flu Clinic Scheduled

We know - you can hardly wait to get your annual flu shot.

Hope you enjoyed a nice, fall-like weekend - today will be cloudy in the morning and it will start to rain around 3 p.m. High will be 57 degrees. Yikes. We aren't ready to break out our long underwear. The town has scheduled its pre Town Meeting "meeting" for Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Police Station. During that meeting, Town Manager Paul Cohen will explain all the warrant articles to residents who may have questions. We're told pre Town Meeting is meant to make Town Meeting go faster. There's so much going on today, we can barely contain ourselves.

Today is perfect running weather: partly cloudy and about 60 degrees. Why not go for a run today on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail? Take a photo of any fall foilage you see and send it in to us! There is plenty to do in Chelmsford today, from a marching band show to the Chelmsford Center for the Arts Indian Festival. If you go and snap some photos, send them in to us! Wow - we really like photos, don't we? Do you ever wonder if peace will ever really come to Bosnia? It's something we've been complating for years. Youth Softball Registration Opens, Selectman Candidates To Debate

We were beginning to wonder if we would ever see the sun again.

Today will be a perfect fall day, with the sun deciding to make an appearance after a rainy week. High will be 66 degrees. Don't forget to head over to the Chelmsford Public Library today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to check out the artwork of Trina and John Teele. Trina Teele's artwork includes watercolors, acrylics, and oil paintings. John Teele's work includes photographs. The candidates for a seat on the Board of Selectmen will debate on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Parker Middle School, which will air on Chelmsford Telemedia show "Politically Incorrect."  It's not too early to start thinking about the spring ... Selectman Candidate Pat Wojtas is hosting her campaign party tonight at Chelmsford Center for the Arts from 6 to 11 p.m. Talk to Pat about the issues you care about in the upcoming special election for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Are you worried about your kids and prescription drugs? Maybe you should be. According to Chelmsford Police, kids as young as 14 are experimenting with opiate prescription drugs. Zoning Board to Take Up 9 North Road, Support Your Town Coffee Today

If you haven't gotten your fill of 9 North Road controversy, don't fear, the Zoning Board of Appeals is going to hold a public hearing Tuesday at the Senior Center to hear appeals for special permits and variances for the project. Attorney Richard McClure is appealing the issuance of the building permit for the site. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Files and plans are available for review in the Community Development Office, Room LL05 of the Town Offices, 50 Billerica Road, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
