Town & Country Store (Closed)

Listing Manager: Dan Leahy

The Town & Country Store in Chelmsford has been a family-run establishment since it was originally founded as an old-fashioned candy store in 1926. Town & Country is located in front of the lovely Friendship Park Playground, adjacent to a baseball field. The store's loyal clientele enjoy the great quality and value of the 85-cent hot dogs, 75-cent doughnuts and 75-cent coffee. Another unique feature of the Town & Country Store is that it carries its own soda. Town & Country Soda is available in flavors such as lime ricky, black cherry, grape and cream soda.  The store and its very friendly staff are well respected within the Chelmsford community, receiving honors from the town for its service in 2005.

Loved the Town & County store as a kid (40 ft. of candy! Wiffle ball bats! Oh my!) Still love it today! This Mom-and-Pop-style store is run and staffed by Chelmsford residents, and is truly a hub for townie news, gossip, and conversation. Plus, the staff are all willing to help you pick a (hopefully) winning lottery and recommend a tasty snack.
