Since the new owners took over, this is my go-to place for authentic Chinese, and it's right in town. Don't be afraid to step outside of the General Gau's comfort zone. There are plenty of Americanized Chinese food places around, but this place serves up the real deal, authentic dishes from Sichuan province. I became friendly with the staff and they know that when I ask for "ma la" ("numbing" from the Sichuan peppercorn, and "spicy" from the liberal use of chiles and chile oil), I know what I want, and they don't hold back. My favorites are the cumin lamb, sizzling fish dry pot, dan dan mein, dried beef Sichuan style (appetizer), sliced beef/tendon in chile sauce (appetizer), cucumber with scallion sauce (appetizer), bawang dry hot chicken, shredded pork in garlic sauce, shredded chicken with peppers, ma po tofu, kung bao chicken, and the amazing Sichuan green beans. Portions are good, prices reasonable, and the service is great.

If you like authentic Sichuan food, like you might get in a large city Chinatown then this is your place. I stop here on the way home to pick up some Sichuan Wonton in Spicy Chili Oil or Wonton Soup. We've also come here for birthday dinner, a whole fish and fresh vegetables. The food is fantastic.
