The Russell Mill Swim & Tennis Club is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1948 on a ten-acre lot in Chelmsford. The club is member-run, meaning that much of the work is done by volunteers, which keep club dues low. The facility features a large swimming pool, a smaller kiddie pool, tennis courts that are illuminated at night, a large clubhouse including a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen, a snack bar and a picnic area with grills and picnic tables. The club offers swimming and tennis lessons Monday through Thursday. Russell Mill has swim, dive and tennis teams for children under the age of eighteen.
