Our favorite is to sit at the bar and enjoy a fancy Fishbones cocktail with our meal. The food is fantastic. For lunch, try the lobster roll with a side of onion rings. Yummy! Never had a meal I didn't love. The only reason I don't give them five stars is that it does get very noisy. The acoustics could be much improved with carpeting, window treatments, etc.

This has been our favorite restaurant in Chelmsford for a while now. The food is consistently above average and fresh, the menu has great variety of fish but also non-fish items, and the service has always been very good. It does get crowded because it is a popular place and the space is limited so it can get a little loud. The summer months bring about a very nice outdoor dining patio. Highly recommended fro great seafood!
Ignore the first review below, lunacy! Fishbones is one of the best seafood restaurants around! The food is always fresh and well-prepared, the chef-specials are to die for, and the ambiance is very nice. It's crowded because it is excellent and many people go there to eat, not a bad thing in my book! It can be a bit loud because of its smaller size and wooden floors but it doesn't take away from the fine dining experience.
My favorite seafood place away from the coast. The bar area is the best seating and I really like sitting by the open kitchen watching the chefs. My usual is the lobster risotto.
Sat at the bar one night and received wet placemats, didn't get my drink made the way I requested and got a very bad attitude from the bartender. Won't be returning!
It is loud and a bit cramped, but I think the food is and service is very good. Not as good as Captain Marden's in Wellesey, but way better than Burger King.
my wife and i found fish bones to be very loud and tables too close to each other ,food wasnt the great burger king has better food

Can't believe $6 for a cup of tea at Fishbones. We will never go back there again. Incredibly poor customer service. We had a nice meal and dessert and a cup of tea for my wife. Now for years my wife asks for two tea bags with her tea. Our waitress delivered our dessert and tea with two teabags. When we got the check we noticed we were charged for 2 cups of tea, The waitress informed us that she had to charge us for two cups of tea per the owners instructions. When I asked to speak with the owner, they sent the manager over instead. I told her nicely that it seemed a little unreasonable to have a $6.00 cup of tea. Yes, she said because you had two tea bags. We have been to lots of restaurants, many much nicer, more expensive than Fishbones. Never have we been charged for two tea bags. I won't bore you with the details of my polite disagreement with the manager. While she said that she understood my complaint there was nothing she could do. Nothing? "No" she said, that is the way we manage our business. So the manager has an unhappy customer, not over $3.00, but simply for the fact that she was completely unwilling to make a clearly unhappy customer, a happy customer. That she could let us walk out of that restaurant with such a bitter taste is unbelievable. We will never go to Fishbones again. Ever. Shame on the manager and shame on the owner. An otherwise enjoyable experience ruined over a cup of tea. The food may be good but the experience is lousy.
