Let's Celebrate the Fourth of July!
It looks like tropical storm Arthur may change your holiday plans. You and your child may find that you have extra time on your hands. Why not help your child complete his/her first summer poem project? Here are the two poems and the arts and crafts activity. Remember to select the poem version that's appropriate for your child's reading level. Gather all the suggested materials and help your child learn some words and rhymes!

Fireworks sparkle.
They're all so bright!
Red and blue
green and white
colors dancing
way up high.
They crackle and sizzle
as they fly.
Fireworks glow in the
warm summer sky.
