Painting for the Dogs

Please help Markus & Leslie from Antidote Art help the Dog Park this weekend. They are hosting a painting party fundraising event where participants will each paint a part of a dog themed mural. A portion of your ticket price will benefit the future Dog Park planned for 54 Richardson Rd. The mural will be hung at the Chelmsford Library, in time for the Pets are People Too Film Festival in October.

The Chelmsford Dog Association has been actively working with Evan Belansky and Town Manager Paul Cohen for a grant award that will fund 80% of the design costs, and 90% of the construction costs for the park. The CDA has worked tirelessly over the last few years, and has most of the required funding for the balance of the project. Another $5,000.00, and we can maximize the grant for $250,000.00!

Refreshments for the Painting Party will be donated by Fishbones Restaurant. The party starts at 7PM on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Please reserve your spot by noon time on Friday, so Markus can plan supplies accordingly. Many thanks to Markus & Leslie for creating this unique opportunity, and thank you for supporting the CDA and the new Dog Park!

If anyone else has a fundraising idea, please e-mail me at cda@chelmsforddogassociation.org-we'd love to hear from you!

For anyone that would like to donate to the park, please make checks payable to "Town of Chelmsford", and put "dog park" in the memo. Checks can be mailed or dropped off at the Town Manager's Office, 50 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford, Ma 01824.
