Dog Obedience Classes on the Chelmsford Common

Can your dog drive you crazy sometimes?  Does he greet your friends at the door with an enthusiastic jump and paw to their belly?  On walks, does she pull so much that she ends up walking you?  Are they uncontrollable around other dogs?  The Chelmsford Dog Association can help!

We are offering Dog Obedience classes on the Chelmsford Common in July and August. Classes are held Monday evenings 6:30pm - 7:30pm, starting July 8th.

The fee is $5 per class, and will benefit the construction of the Chelmsford Dog Park. Class topics will include Basic & Safety commands - sit, stay, come & down, Dog Behavior & Interactions, Common Problems, and more.  Drop in for one or more classes.  Weather Permitting - class is canceled with lightning.

Please bring a standard training lead and collar - no retractable leashes, and a poop bag or two.

There is free public parking along the Common and behind the Old Town Hall.

The classes are led by Beth Logan, who has trained her own two dogs, including an agility champion, and taught puppy kindergarten, dog obedience, and tracking at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA. She also has taken advanced clicker training classes from Karen Prior Academy trainers.

The CDA is excited to be able to provide this opportunity for Chelmsford dogs and their owners.  We hope to see you there!
