Lions' Girls Hockey Gets Big Wins Over Boston Latin and Acton-Boxborough

In basketball, the boys’ team lost Methuen on Thursday, 87-69. On the ice, the boys’ hockey team tied Waltham at two goals apiece, while the girls team posted a 9-7 win over Boston Latin and a 5-3 loss to Acton-Boxborough.

The girls’ ice hockey team faces off against Medford at the Forum at 2:30 p.m., followed by a game by the boys against Tewksbury at 7 p.m.

On the hardwood, the girls’ basketball team heads to Medford for a 7 p.m. game.

Friday, Dec. 27

The boys’ hockey team heads down to Cape Cod for a weeklong long tournament in Falmouth, the indoor track teams have a qualifying meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, the boys’ basketball team begins their weekend of games at the Lowell Catholic Holiday Tournament and the boys’ swim team has a 3:30 p.m. meet at the Lowell YMCA against Concord-Carlisle.

Saturday, Dec. 28

The girls’ basketball team faces Tyngsboro on the road at 2 p.m., the girls’ basketball team plays Peabody at 4 p.m. at the McCann/O’Keefe Memorial Rink in Peabody, and there’s a boys’ swimming meet in Reading at the Burbank YMCA.

Sunday, Dec. 29

The wrestling team head to Tsongas Arena to participate in a holiday tournament. The start time has not yet been determined.
