School District Finalizing First Naming Agreement for McCarthy Athletic Field
The Lowell Sun reported that North Reading Transportation is finalizing with the district a deal to name the McCarthy Middle School field.
Though an initial request for naming proposals for the athletic field at McCarthy Middle School recently yielded no results, Chelmsford Public Schools is now reportedly finalizing a deal with an area company for naming rights.
The Lowell Sun reported that the district is working to close out a deal with NRT Bus, formerly known as North Reading Transportation, as the first company to pay for naming rights at the field.
School business manager Kathy McWilliams told The Sun that the district hopes more businesses will follow suit and become interested as well.
According to the newspaper, the field will be called "NRT Athletic Field at McCarthy Middle School."
