New Classes, New Teachers, New Options

Nashoba Valley Technical High School is offering new community education classes this spring.

New classes have been added to the winter/spring community education programming at Nashoba Tech.

In addition to the traditional vocational technical education paths for adults in the community, NT has added a new program called “Smart Phones for Smart People”. New cell phones are really mini-computers and can be very confusing to the uninitiated. Instructor Imran Nawaz said, ‘Soon the cell phone will replace the home computer.” Learn how mighty this tiny device can be.

Health Assisting and Machine Tool Technology are the fastest growing career paths in Massachusetts. The Health Assisting class offers 75 hours of training to allow the successful candidate to sit for the CNA test. In Machine Tool Technology, an 8 week (once a week) class offers the candidates entry level skills for a job in this fast growing field.

Gel nails, ‘tips’ and fancy art work are some of the topics covers under the Nail Technician certification program. This evening class offers training in a steady yet flexible career path.

Some training – including Real Estate Training, Health Assisting and Woodworking for Homeowners will also be available in the summer session.
