Town Meeting Will Have At Least One More Night

The 2013 Chelmsford Spring Town Meeting will resume on Thursday. In the meantime, what's your opinion so far?

We'll head back to the Chelmsford Senior Center on Thursday for at least one more night of Town Meeting, but in the meantime, we want to ask you what are your thoughts on Town Meeting so far?

Is it what you expected? Are you happy with how your Town Meeting reps voted? What about your thoughts on the articles on the Turf Fields, Oak Hill, and all the other topics?

What about Thursday? Will that be the last night until the fall?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

For more, including roll calls courtesy of the Town Website, see our Day 1, 2 and 3 coverage.

On behalf of the Chelmsford Dog Association, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone at this meeting for their support for a Dog Park in Chelmsford. The grants we are pursuing require community support, and this was an awesome show of support! Now the real work begins-one grant is being sponsored by a company called Petsafe, and there are five awards being given out-please help us out by visiting www.barkforyourpark.com and nominate Chelmsford! Thank you!

Vivian, Possible fundraising ideas once the park is built. Not sure if other Parks do this but I have attended some great events that showcase some events. Any plans or potential to have K9 Demos for the public, Field trials, Agility shows to help raise money and of course it is a great time watching these events

Absolutely, Jeff! In fact, the CDA is hosting a Flea Market fundraising event on May 18-we still have vendor space available and plenty of things for sale, and on June 22, Walgreen's Pharmacy on Chelmsford St. is hosting their Third Annual Dog Rally, which will include vendor tables, multiple demos, food, a DJ, coloring contest and a walk-a-thon. Still finalizing walk-a- thon details, and more info is available on the CDA website. The more, the merrier!

Vivian, is the Petsafe grant under Chelmsford or North Chelmsford? I wanted to vote, but I didn't want the voted to end up being split. And congrats on your victory!

Just read through their rules, and in the event of "overlapping or contiguous Communities....the Sponsor in its sole discretion, may elect to designate which of the nominated communities will be considered as a Finalist." The location is in North Chelmsford, however, the nominating community is Chelmsford.
