Matt Hanson Named NMCOG Chairman
Hanson became chair of the Chelmsford Board of Selectmen earlier this year.
Chelmsford Board of Selectmen chairman Matt Hanson now has a second chairmanship to add to his resume.
Recently Hanson was named as chairman of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments Council, replacing Stephen Themelis of Pepperell.
Prior to his accession to the chairmanship, Hanson was vice chair.
According to comments made at the Board of Selectmen's meeting on Monday, Hanson is the first chair of the body to hail from Chelmsford.
Also known as NMCOG, the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments works with nine communities near Lowell on regional planning issues.
