Littleton Road 40B Goes Before Selectmen

The project is expected to begin construction in the area of Gene's Flatbread Cafe next summer.

The Board of Selectmen have a space on their agenda on Monday night to discuss a bond measure for upcoming affordable housing on Littleton Road.

In a letter from Chelmsford Housing Authority director David Hedison, he tells the Board of Selectmen that state officials consider the project a high priority.

He also asks the board for a total of $2,181,000 for the project, to come from the Community Preservation Fund's General and Housing Reserve Funds as well as a bond issuance.

Funding for the project was approved by Spring 2013 Town Meeting Reps by a vote of 137-9-0, with an exact dollar amount pending at the time.

The project is scheduled to begin construction on and around the current Gene's Flatbread Cafe site in the summer of 2014.
