Operation Warmth

Hi everyone. I am Participating in a holiday project entitled "Operation Warmth" which will be providing donations of winter clothing and toys for Afghan orphanages and women's shelters around Kabul, Afghanistan.  Your generosity will provide comfort and warmth during the cold season to those who truly need it.  This is being led by my fellow U.S. Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Afghanistan District. Unfortunately due to shipping schedules we only have a short time frame to collect so items must be received no later than December 8, 2011. Items we need are new or lightly used sweaters, socks, mittens/gloves, shoes, jackets/coats, hats & scarves.

We are also collecting new unwrapped toys such as balls, stuffed animals, cars, puzzles (large pieces), coloring books, crayons - please no electronic and/or battery operated toys or weapons.

These items can be left in paper/plastic bags or in the boxes on the front porch of 7 Alcorn Road, Chelmsford. All items will be shipped to Afghanistan by the New England District Corps of Engineers on December 9th. If you have any questions feel free to message me or call at 860-617-4254.
