Three Crashes Near Town Center in Half Hour Span

Monday, Dec. 3

Tuesday, Dec. 4

  • Laura Semrad, 51, of 360 Curve St. in Carlisle was arrested on charges of alleged operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and failure to stay within marked lanes.
  • Soterios "Sam" Scarmeas, 27, of 14 Bond St. in Brookline, NH was arrested for alleged operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license, speeding, illegal possession of class B dgus, illegal possession of class C drugs, and a warrant for earlier charges not specified on the log.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

  • Daniel Doucette, 79, of 198 South St. in Lowell was arrested for alleged operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, marked lane violations, and operation of a motor vehicle at night without lights.
  • Stacy Hartwell, 40, of 26 Brick Kiln Rd. in Chelmsford was arrested on charges of alleged driving with a suspended license.

Thursday, Dec. 6

  • Alison Salem, 33, of 187 Chelmsford St. in Chelmsford was arrested on charges of alleged shoplifting.

Monday, Dec. 3

2:36 p.m. - Police investigated some alleged panhandlers on Drum Hill Road.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 4

A series of crashes were reported over the space of about half an hour and a few hundred yards on Tuesday between approximately 4:30 and 5 p.m.

The first crash occurred on Chelmsford Street, involving reports of injuries. While emergency officials were dealing with that crash, they stopped another motorist nearby on Chelmsford Street for an OUI (see above.)

Between these two incidents, there was a three car accident near St. Mary's Church on the corner of North Road and Fletcher Street.

Police officials indicate that one vehicle turning left onto North Road from Fletcher Street collided with a vehicle travelling north on North Road, with the the northbound vehicle caroming into a vehicle waiting to turn left onto Fletcher Road.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

11:36 p.m. - Three officers were dispatched to Littleton Road after reports of an unwanted female guest.

Thursday, Dec. 6

2:50 p.m. - Police searched for information related to controlled substances at Stop and Shop.
