A large box truck rolled onto its side and ripped open following the crash.

A rollover accident in Chelmsford caused the closure of a major ramp for several hours on Thursday morning.

Massachusetts State Police said that a rollover occurred just before 10 a.m. at the ramp from Interstate 495 to Route 3 South in Chelmsford.

Police soon after posted a photo from the scene, which shows a large box truck on its side and tipped open at the entrance to the ramp.

Just after 10 a.m., State Police said that the area will be closed for at least two hours, but added there were only minor injuries suffered.

In a follow up around 11 a.m., State Police updated that clean up continued, but the road remained closed.

The area was reopened for traffic at about 12:30 p.m., according to State Police.
