Police Identify Victim in Fatal Chelmsford Crash

Both the driver and a 3-year-old passenger were killed.

Massachusetts State Police have identified one of the victims of a fatal car accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford.

Police say Han Van Hoang, 43, of Quincy was the driver of that vehicle. Also killed in the crash was a 3-year-old female who was secured in a car seat inside the vehicle.

Police responded to report of a single car crash on I-495 South in Chelmsford at 12:50 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates a 2004 Toyota Camry was driving south when it veered to the right and crossed over a raised island that separates the highway from the Chelmsford rest stop. The Toyota then continued through the grass and struck a guardrail killing both the driver and passenger.

The crash remains under investigation.
