Man With "Mental Problems" Causes Issues At Center Brickhouse in November Incident

Nov. 10, 4:55 p.m. – An officer was dispatched to the Center Brickhouse after for what was described as a disturbance.

Upon arrival, the officer observed a man with a yellow plaid shirt covered in blood who immediately told the officer that everything was fine, that he did not want to press charges, and that he did not hit an unspecified woman.

The blood on the yellow plaid shirted man’s clothing came from a laceration on his wrist, which was treated by paramedics who arrived a few minutes later. He was also described as being intoxicated.

Although the plaid shirt man did not want further medical treatment, paramedics convinced him to go to a hospital as stitched were needed.

The officer then talked to a witness who said that the plaid shirt man had used obscene words at her sister, a bartender in the bar, following what was his third beer. The plaid shirted man was a regular customer, but had not caused any problems in the past.

At this point, the witness told the man he would have to leave, with a grill cook also coming to the scene attempting to get the plaid shirted man to leave.

However, the plaid shirted man would not move from his chair, yelling “you will have to call the police!”

An unknown man walked up to the grill cook, asking that the grill cook not attack the plaid shirted man, stating that he had “mental problems.”

The grill cook turned around, the plaid shirted man began talking to another woman when the grill cook suddenly heard what sounded like shattered glass. 

He turned around and saw the plaid shirted man falling to his knees as the unknown man uttered “don’t ever hit her again,” to the plaid shirted man.

Shortly after this point, the plaid shirted man left the bar. 

The officer on the call talked to the grill cook, who advised that he get a no trespassing order on the plaid shirted man.

Nov. 10, 12:10 a.m. – A teenage girl’s car was egged on Cathy Road, the third such incident in the past three months according to the girl. The girl and her parents were unsure of who might have egged the car, they did not report the earlier incidents.
