Lowell Woman Goes Into Labor at Hawthorn Suites

Information provided by the Chelmsford Fire Department.

The following incidents were provided by the Chelmsford Fire Department, taking place between April 20 and April 26.

Sunday, April 20

  • Firefighters were called to Route 495 near North Road at 9:30 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash with reported injury. The crash involved a North Chelmsford driver and a Jamaica, New York, resident.
  • A four-year-old was having an allergic reaction on Princeton Street.
Monday, April 21
  • On Littleton Road, a 66-year-old woman took a fall and was complaining of back injury.
  • A smoke check was called in by the Chelmsford Fire Tower, sending a firefighter to Barton Hill Road.
  • Several firefighters were called to Littleton Road for a reported brush fire at 12:23 p.m. About two hours later, firefighters were required again when the brush fire rekindled on Chelmsford Commons.
Tuesday, April 22
  • A 33-year-old man reported difficulty breathing and required an ambulance.
  • A male employee on Brick Kiln Road, 21 years old, reported chest pain.
Wednesday, April 23
  • On Barton Hill Road, a possible transformer fire was called in.
  • Police and firefighters were called to Route 495 on Chelmsford Street for a report of a rear end collision between a Chelmsford driver and Westford driver with injuries.
  • At 1:37 p.m. on Boston Road, firefighters were called for a report of gas inside the building.
Thursday, April 24
  • Firefighters were called to Clarissa Road for a report of an 80-year-old woman who fell overnight and suffered a hip injury.
  • At 3:58 p.m., callers reported a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Stedman Street and Smith Street.
  • Inside the Hawthorn Suites on Research Place, an ambulance was called for a Lowell woman who was in labor.
Friday, April 25
  • A 51-year-old woman suffered a possible stroke on Windemere Lane.
  • On Technology Drive, a woman fell and suffered a laceration to the head.
  • The Hazmat unit was dispatch to assist the Tyngsboro Police Department.
Saturday, April 26
  • At 11:57 a.m. firefighters were called in to check on possible arcing wires.
  • Police were called for a public assistance on Glen Ave. where a man was locked in a bathroom.
