Lowell Man Arrested After Allegedly Saying He Was Someone Else

10:32 a.m. - Police checked Smith Street for reports of a person throwing snow into the street.

Arrests

  • Seif Ali, 28, of 126 Grove St. in Lowell was arrested on charges of alleged operation of a motor vehicle without a license, signal light violations and giving a false name to police.
  • Edward Welsh, 30, of 170 Nashua Road in Pepperell was arrested on an outstanding warrant for shoplifting as well as alleged operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operation of a motor vehicle

3:45 p.m. - A patrolman spoke to a motorist regarding a hit-and-run on Chelmsford Street.
