Grinding and Paving Expected to Cause Delays on Route 110

Grinding will take place this week and paving is scheduled for Monday, June 30.

Chelmsford Police said grinding and paving work on Route 110 will likely cause delays this week and into next week.

On the Chelmsford Police Facebook page, the department posted that grinding will take place on Route 110 from Hunt Road to Chelmsford Center beginning on Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26.

Just one lane of traffic will remain open for emergency vehicles, police said.

Traffic on the eastbound side of the road will be sent up Hunt Road to Pine Hill and eventually onto Westford Street as road work continues through Friday, June 27.

Crews expect to pave the road on Monday, June 30, to wrap up the work in the area.

"Traffic delays are to be expected," police said. "Seek alternate routes if possible."
