Flames at Dunkin Donuts, Grill Catches Fire and Overdose Reported in Recent Days

Information provided by the Chelmsford Fire Department.

The following incidents were provided by the Chelmsford Fire Department, taking place between June 22 and June 28.

Sunday, June 22

  • An elderly man on Smith Street took a fall and suffered a cut to his head. An ambulance was sent to the scene.
  • A man on Chelmsford Street called for medics after suffering an uncontrollable nosebleed.
Monday, June 23
  • A pedestrian accident was reported on Central Square in the parking of of a real estate business involving a Lowell resident. An ambulance responded to the scene following the incident.
  • Crews were called to Drum Hill Road for a report of a multiple vehicle crash with injury at 12:20 p.m.
  • On Wellman Ave. firefighters investigated a grill on fire, but the resident self extinguished the flames.
  • An ambulance was called to Bellevue Street at 8:26 p.m. for a 16-year-old male suffering an allergic reaction to a bee sting.
Tuesday, June 24
  • Firefighters assisted a Winslow Road resident who had a bird caught in the home's screen.
  • A vehicle was leaking fuel on Graniteville Road and Old Westford Road.
  • An ambulance and firefighters were called to Summer Street for a motorcycle accident with injury involving a Billerica driver.
Wednesday, June 25
  • Dunkin Donuts on Chelmsford Street called to report a fire at the electrical station. Multiple firefighters responded to the business to control the flames.
Thursday, June 26
  • An ambulance was requested on Arbutus Ave. for a four-year-old boy suffering from severe abdominal pain.
Friday, June 27
  • On Gay Street, a two-year-old child suffered a leg injury, called in by a third party.
  • At 8:33 p.m. a man on Olde North Road suffered a cut to his face.
  • Police and medics were called to Princeton Street for a report on an unresponsive male party.
  • An ambulance was required on Groton Road when a 69-year-old man overdosed on pills.
Saturday, June 28
  • On Park Road, a woman fell from her bicycle after hitting something in the road.
