Evacuation at South Row School, Everyone Safe Says Principal

An evacuation earlier this morning was due to a new oven, says South Row principal Molly McMahon

 

Students and staff were evacuated from the South Row School at approximately 11 a.m. this morning, according to a statement from South Row principal Molly McMahon.

The evacuation stemmed from a new oven that was emitting a gaseous odor, causing enough concern to call in National Grid and local emergency services.

According to McMahon, there was no danger to anyone in the building, and lunches were eventually served on a normal schedule.
