Boston Road Remains Closed as Sinkhole Work Continues

Police said on Monday that the road remains closed with detours in place.

Chelmsford Department of Public Works employees continue working on Boston Road to fix a sinkhole that developed on Sunday, but the road remains closed with detours in place.

The detours are as follows:

  • Boston Road south is detoured down Warren Ave to Turnpike Road to Mill Road and back to Boston Road. 
  • Boston Road north is detoured onto Parker Road to Acton Road (Rt.27) and into Chelmsford Center.
