Modern Politics: Debt and Deficit

We are taught in school and told our form of national Government is a representative democracy.  In reality, our form of national Government should be called 'Can Kicking' as we continually kick the can down the road of the future by adding to debt limits.  Both parties are great kickers, be it for more and expansion of social programs, the military, tax breaks, etc.

This abdicates any responsibility to our children and grandchildren, who will pay the bill or just have to kick the can farther down the road.

Eventually the piper has to be be paid.
