News? Where is it?

At the risk of repeating myself I have seen nothing in recent Patch's but repeats of days before .. and days before, and again, days before.  I had thought of Patch as a community outlet for real local, some national news, but am disappointed to see the same posts day in and day out. What's with you guys anyway?  I know you've heard this from others as well so don't feel that I'm alone in my disappointment.  Better get on the ball, guys, gives us something worthy of our time or you will surely lose lots of subscribers.  Saddens me greatly.

patch.com is dying. The business model makes no sense, and AOL is realizing that. This article has some interesting ideas on how to reinvigorate hyper-local news, assuming that consumers like you and me are willing to pay: http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2013/08/16/local_news_paywalls_tomorrow_s_business_model_today.html

Thanks for the link Tim. I know Patch is on very shaky legs but I've been hopeful that improvement would occur. As for paying for news, already do for local and NYC newspapers, both in print and online ... not sure about another expense, at least not now. Might just go back to the Chelmsford Independent tho, a subscription I cancelled upon subscribing to Patch which at the time gave the same newsworthy information as the Independent and it seemed redundant to me to have both.
