Maryalice (Nelson) Galus, 66

Maryalice (Nelson) Galus, 66, a resident of Chelmsford and Center Barnstead, NH passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2013.  Married to her beloved husband, William J. Galus for 43 years, she was a devoted wife, mother and friend. 

Maryalice was born in Lowell on January 14, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Allen D. Nelson, Sr. and Alice M. (Tulley) Nelson.  She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School and Lowell Teacher’s College.  An avid gardener, Maryalice loved traveling, the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a teacher in Billerica and was a former business owner. 

In addition to her husband, Maryalice is survived by and will be forever missed by her daughter, Alyson Galus of Brookline, MA, a brother, Bud Nelson of Alton Bay, NH, a niece, Erica Boucher of Lowell, her two Shih-Tzus Jigsy and Murphy and several relatives and friends. 

It being her wish, services will be private.  Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.
