Chelmsford Woman, 90, Recalled as Independent With 'Razor Wit'

Alma L. Beebe passed away on Thursday after a period of declining health.

The following is an obituary courtesy of J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home.

Alma L. Beebe, age 90, of Chelmsford, passed away on Thursday, May 8, in Chelmsford after a period of declining health.

She was born and raised in Graniteville on October 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Walter and Louise (Cleary) Beebe. Alma received her education through Westford schools, having graduated from Westford Academy, Class of 1941.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an administrative assistant with MIT Lincoln Labs in Bedford for many years.

Alma was a very self sufficient, independent woman who had a razor wit. She was very handy and was fascinated with anything mechanical. She would be able to take anything apart, repair it and put it back together with ease.

She leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Willard and Edward Beebe, Phyllis Staples and Marjorie Dube.
