IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Dear Family & Friends,

We have had a busy couple of days here in the Solo/Corr household.  Rachel went to see Dr. Robinson on Monday. She is the woman that performed the surgery.  Dr. Robinson said that Rachel is doing great and she was very happy with her progress and our PT schedule.  Rachel thanked her for doing the surgery and told her that she was the best doctor ever for helping her walk better.  Here she is walking down the hall as we are leaving Dr. Robinson’s office – post 39 days surgeryhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eubgq2KJ00g.  You’ll notice she starts waddling a little bit at first and then self corrects her stride and walks straighter.  She is doing so well figuring out how to walk straighter and have a smoother step.  This is what made her the PERFECT candidate for this procedure.

Rachel also went back to school today! (I was the guy in the Staples commercial when the kids go back to school)  Totally check out her diva pictures in the photo gallery. (author’s note: I DO NOT have Christmas lights up….my kids hung them because they are my favorite color red in celebration of my Birthday) Rachel had a great first day back and was really tired when she got home! She only got to rest for a little bit because her in home PT, Jenn, came 4.  The two of the skyped with Emma for a bit and then it was work work work!  Jenn really does a great job with Rachel and keeps her motivated and interested in PT. They used the new treadmill today which is exciting!  I think the best part of Rachel’s current PT schedule is that she has so many different types that it keeps her focused.  She has Lokomat, some fill ins with Sandy at Children’s and Jenn at home.  She is scheduled for some kind of PT every week day from now until the end of the year.  She really misses Alissa though…we’ll go back to NE Rehab after Lokomat is done and once we can enroll in swimming again with insurance approval.

We are all set for Thanksgiving! We cannot WAIT to celebrate with all our friends at Spaulding.  The sides are coming from Metropolitan Deli  and the pies are coming from The Pie Guy.   Our plan is to go to the Chelmsford High Football Game on Thursday morning so that I can see Tori performing in her Flag Swag, leave at half time and head to pick up the cooked turkeys and then celebrate at Spaulding.

This Thanksgiving we are very thankful for the outpouring of support from everyone; our family, friends and people I barely know. (Even ex husband #1 and my ex- sister in law). We are also very thankful for all of the new friends we’ve made over the past 5 weeks.  So, as you celebrate your own thanksgiving dinner know that we are thinking of you and thanking you very much.

Hugs,

Jenn, Rachel, Tori, Peter our puppy Tuesday and the newest member of our family Sophie the Cat!

(yes, we recently got a cat but that is another blog post for another time…clearly I am totally nuts because the last thing I need is something else to take care of)
