Happy Free Hour Day!!!!

I love hearing how other people notice the difference in her walking. I notice the difference but I eat, breathe and sleep Rachel's walking and her form. It was so good to hear others gush about it!

We started off our day with a surprise visit from Kim & Jeff Gold! We love them so much! Kim and I might as well go out when Jeff is around though because Rachel is all about Jeff (other wise known as Joe; Rachel has called him that since she was 3).

Then Jen Skolnick came with some Moe's tacos for us for dinner! Rachel was very very excited. She talked Jen into going for a walk n roll around the floor. Jaclyn Demary and her boyfriend Sean came for a visit too. As Jaclyn would say "Rachel got her flirt on!" Aunt Carol and cousin Heather also came...there was all sorts of Rachel love going on! Last but not least Brother Chris and PJ came for a visit. My brother is taking PJ to Screaming Sirens, and a couple other screamo bands at House of Blues tonight so they came for a visit before the concert. Never in my life did I ever think I would have to tell my kid that mosh pitting was not allowed (yes I made that into a verb). But there you have it because PJ was going to mosh pit...I am not even sure what that means. On his way out I did remind him, Hugs not Drugs. Thanks Chris for "doing be a solid" and taking him tonight. Not sure I could have made it.

When we saw Jaclyn again I was reminded that totally forgot to say thank you to the awesomest lunch ladies on the planet!!!! Marygail and Heather thank you so much for all the treats that you sent both of us! <3 Heather can you also thank your daughter...tell her we think her mom is pretty special.

I love how so many people are reading about Rachel's progress/adventure! She is working so hard and doing so well it is amazing that we get to share it with all of you. From what i understand there are people that we don't even know following us... I JUST LOVE IT!!!! Rachel is such an inspiring little girl and I am reminded of how awesome she is every day. I love that I get to share her with so many peeps.

Tomorrow they are doing the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new play ground outside. If you listen to Rachel, Mayor Menino and all of the news people might as well be coming to see her. Grampy, she is going to wear her light up tutu. She has been planning her outfit all day!! The way I see it, a kid in rehab, in a wheel chair in a light up tutu will TOTALLY MAKE IT ON THE NEWS. Right? I will let you know if there are any press here so that you can watch.

I know you are all dying to know how I took my hour. Well I took it a short while ago to paint the princess' fingernails for her big TV spot tomorrow....wow is she going to be disappointed! I also took another hour enjoying my coffee in peace this morning and yet another hour cleaning up office email. I am sure you are all shocked to know that there was no hot date or hot bath....not even a hot bowl of soup....

One of the nurses said to me tonight... "I have a really weird question. Why do you always smell so good" HELLO, I have a transgender son, a daughter with CP and two ex husbands...your question SO NOT WEIRD. I almost asked her for a hot date...ok never-mind but that sounded good.

We really missed the Rodwill Solomon's today. We hope Karen is getting better....hope to see you guys soon. Rachel asked about Brandon and Nik at breakfast...she was hoping to get to say some dirty words today.
