Travel Company Gives Jeff Bauman and Other Boston Marathon Heroes Free Cruise

The Chelmsford hero of the Boston Marathon bombings has been given a free cruise in France along with approximately 100 other victims and first responders involved in the tragic day's events.

Chelmsford's own Jeff Bauman joined approximately 100 victims and first responders involved in the tragic events surrounding the Boston Marathon bombing earlier this year set sail earlier this week for a free all-inclusive 11 day river cruise in the south of France.

The effort, sponsored by Vantage Deluxe World Travel, is estimated at $3,698 per person. 

Their boat, the River Discovery II, was first launched in 2012 and will meander through the Saone and Rhone River valleys, with port calls at Avignone, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Arle, Viviers and other locations in Provence.
