Sewer Fairness Alliance Meeting

Calling all  homeowners with grinder pumps to the Sewer Fairness Alliance meeting Thursday, March 14 at the Main Library, www.sfa-chelmsford.org

Since our begining this past November, the SFA already has 168 homes represented in our membership.  Why such a rapid build up in membership?  Well, for over 12,700 homeowners in Chelmsford if the sewer fails the town will fix it.  But if you have a mandated grinder pump, every 9.2 years you can expect to pay $2,500 to $5,000 in repair costs in addition to the regular sewer bill that is the same regardless of the type sewer connection.  And if the power goes out, 12,700 plus homeowners still have a sewer system.  Not so for homeowners with grinder pumps.  But there's more to it than that.

The mission of the Sewer Fairness Alliance of Chelmsford is to obtain equal protection and benefits for Chelmsford homeowners with grinder pumps that homeowners with non-grinder systems receive.   Come to our meeting this Thursday at the library or learn more about us at our website.
