Community Teamwork Director Speaks at First Parish

On Wednesday, May 14, at 7:00 pm, Karen N. Frederick, Executive Director

of Community Teamwork Inc (CTI) , will be speaking at First Parish UU
Church of Chelmsford about CTI's work in the Greater Lowell community.
The community action agency serves 63 cities and town in Middlesex and
Essex Counties.

For nearly 50 years, Community Teamwork has provided support for
families in need, promoted economic self-sufficiency for all, and
fostered a stronger community by partnering with others to expand
opportunities for economic growth. CTI is also one of the nine regional
non-profit housing agencies serving 41 cities and towns in Middlesex and
Essex Counties.

Prior to being named Executive Director of CTI in 2003, Ms.
Frederick served as the agency’s Chief Program Officer for 5 years,
overseeing all program operations, and as the Director of Community
Teamwork’s Family Life Services Department, which administered one of
the largest child care systems in Massachusetts for over 11 years. She
has made her career in community action since 1978.

Ms. Frederick was invited to speak by the church's Council on Faith
in Action Ministries. As part of the Council's efforts to serve the
local community, the church will also be hosting a benefit concert for
CTI on June 7th, being given by The Tervo Trio and Friends.

The church (http://www.uuchelmsford.org/) is located at 2 Westford Street, on the Chelmsford Common. Community Teamwork is located at 155 Merrimack Street, Lowell. For more information on CTI, please visit http://commteam.org.
