Budget Buddies needs Coaches to mentor women in personal finance

Come join us for an informative
Budget Buddies meeting. Learn more about our coaching program and other
volunteer opportunities.

Budget Buddies is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the financial
literacy and independence of low-income women in the Greater Lowell area. Our
program combines workshops on budgeting, banking, credit and money values with
one-on-one coaching.

You do not need to be a financial
wizard to be a coach. All you need to have is the desire to help someone make
the most of the money she has.

Your commitment includes:

  • A genuine interest in working with low-income women
  • Strict confidentiality of all client financial and
    personal information
  • Participation in six client workshops of 60 minutes
    each
  • One or two client contacts between workshops
  • Participation in our monthly coaching support groups

We are looking for coaches to staff
upcoming programs. At this time, per the request of our clients, all of our
coaches are women. We do also need help with many other parts of our
organization such as grants research, fundraising, Web site development, child
care and logistics.
