Back to Basics I (Course #515)

Are the basics of cooking and the terminology used to describe different cooking techniques a mystery to you? Would you like to learn how to read a recipe, determine how to prep your ingredients and then get the dish completed? If so, this class is for you! We'll cover the basic cooking techniques, knife skills, timing and simple dishes you can make for classic American favorites, such as chicken cutlets, spaghetti and meatballs, mashed potatoes, homemade cupcakes, pancakes, salads, rice pilaf and pork chops with gravy. Come prepared with apron and containers to bring home leftovers.

The course is $170.
