Power Outages Reported in Chelmsford

More than 2,000 National Grid customers are without power in town.

National Grid is reporting that more than 2,000 Chelmsford customers are without power as .

Nearly all of the power outages in Chelmsford are north of Route 495, including North Road and Stedman Street. There is also a pocket of more than 200 customers without power in the Turnpike Road area, according to National Grid.

To report power outages, call National Grid at 800-465-1212.

Chelmsford Patch readers have reported outages in North, East and South Chelmsford and specific reports of outages on Coach Road, Rainbow, Locke Road and Clover Hill.

There have also been many fallen tree limbs.

On a state level, Gov. Deval Patrick has issued a state of emergency in the commonwealth.
