Rolling Along...

A resilient and determined Chelmsford Girls 6th Travel Team got a huge road win at Stoneham on Saturday, January 18th, winning 27-20.  Despite trailing for the 1st 29 minutes of the game, the girls battled hard and scored the last 10 points of the game to earn the victory.

Trailing 13-8 at the half, the offense finally got into gear mid-way thru the 2nd half, led by Alessandra LeBrun (6 points) and Lorelai Plunkett (5 points).  The dynamic duo of guards Tiffany Cheok (6 points) and Hannah Polce (4 points) handled Stoneham’s pressure very well.  Grace Dionne dominated the boards inside and disrupted several Stoneham players driving to the hoop.  LeBrun and Cheok hit big shots in the final minutes to seal the victory.

On Friday night the girls marched to a lopsided victory over a spirited Malden team.  Natalie Tierney had a break out game scoring 10 points.  Co-Captains Julia Perreira and Megan Hill chipped in with 6 points each as did LeBrun and Dionne.
