Zesty's Pizza Opening Second Location in North Chelmsford

The Fletcher Street restaurant, which opened in 1981, is expected to open their doors at a second North Chelmsford location on Nov. 1

A few years ago Zesty’s Pizza gained national recognition for its cameo on the Simpsons, and now it wants to gain recognition in new portions of Chelmsford as well.

Long a landmark on Fletcher Street, Zesty’s is aiming to open a new location in North Chelmsford at the former home of Chelmsford House of Pizza on Tyngsboro Road just off Vinal Square.

Zesty’s co-owner Teddy Rokas says the new location will have the same menu as the original location, and will also have two floors.

“We had been thinking about it for awhile, me and my brother along with my dad,” said Rokas. “We thought that North Chelmsford would be a great spot, we’d have some name recognition and it’s a busy area, so we think we’ll do well there.”

Initially Rokas and his family potentially considered expanding to other towns, but settled on a second Chelmsford location, with possible expansion to other nearby communities if the North Chelmsford location is successful.

The tentative opening date for the new North Chelmsford location is Nov. 1.

More information on Zesty’s is available on their website.

I really hope it goes well for Zesty's which I think has the best Pizza in this town (except for my home-made). There was a pizza place in No. Chelmsford that had pretty terrific Pizza too, used to order for LifeLinks when they were located close by. So it may just be chancy for Zesty in that location but I do wish them success.

Zesty's is one of our favorite places to grab a quick dinner when we are short on time. My son and I love to stop in there for subs and pizza because the atmosphere is pleasant, you can watch whatever sporting event is going on at the time, and you can also order a beer and a glass of wine. Ted is the nicest guy, and his sons are sweethearts. The people who work for him are also very nice. Wish him all the best as he prepares to open his second restaurant ! !
