Popeye's Set to Open on Drum Hill in December

Popeye's Chicken is set to come to Drum Hill this December, entering a former satellite location for Saints Hospital near the intersection of Drum Hill and Parkhurst roads. 

Located almost immediately across from Drum Hill Liquors, the restaurant will be the eighth in the Boston area according to Greg Vojnovich, Chief Development Officer for Popeye's.

According to Vojnovich, the Drum Hill area was appealing for many of the reasons that drew Five Guys there earlier this year, as it almost became the location of the first Popeye's in Massachusetts several years ago, losing out to Kenmore Square in Boston.

"The Drum Hill area is a vibrant market, not just with restaurants, but with other things, and it serves not just Chelmsford but the greater Lowell area," he said. "We think it will become one of the best restaurants we have in the Greater Boston region."

The location is set to open in mid-December, although Vojnovich said that an opening later in the month is a possibility.
