Chelmsford Dish Makes Boston Magazine's 'Cheap Eats' List

Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe made Boston Magazine's list of great and inexpensive eateries.

A Chelmsford dish recently made Boston Magazine’s “Cheap Eats” list.

The magazine picked 26 “Cheap Eats” in the Boston area ($15 or less). The list will run in the magazine’s February edition.

Among them was Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe in Chelmsford, which recently opened another location in Boston's Chinatown.

Gene's also recently made news in Chelmsford as the restaurant will be forced to move due to an affordable housing project that is coming this summer.

The Boston Magazine article recommends an order of "thick, ropey noodles à la minute" tossed in chili oil, garlic, and cilantro for $6 or tossed in meaty broth with slices of lamb for $11.
