In order to fund the ongoing construction at the plaza that formerly included Marshalls and Stop & Shop, the owner of the Boston Road land recent sold the portion of the property that includes CVS for about $4.3 million.

Developer Winstanley Enterprises bought the entire lot for $7.6 million, and is in the midst of a renovation that will cost a minimum of $5.4 million, according to a report in the Lowell Sun

The newspaper reported that the sale of CVS will also include the lease to the pharmacy. Construction on the plaza is slated to be completed this summer, with several new businesses opening their doors in July.

I did not see the questions you mention, Anna. Certainly had nothing to with them not being important enough. Let me know what I may be able to help you with, or you're also welcome to email me at matthew.schooley@patch.com if that's easier.

Matt, in your 2 recent posts re: town meetings I specifically asked for reports (minutes or short rundown) of what took place. Others have questioned why these no longer appear in our local Patch and it is very disappointing. I'm certain you've read some comments extolling disappointment in not getting local news as much as Patch used to ... is it your fault? I'm guessing not, but would really appreciate your view on this (if you're allowed to express it, that is!). I have been a devoted Patch reader from day one and I want you to know that I do appreciate your response in this instance and hope you can respond again.

Anna, As you know, things are a bit different now and unfortunately I won't be able to get to as many meetings as Andy did. However, that doesn't mean I will never attend meetings, nor does it mean that I am not interested in what happens during those meetings. If there is something coming up in particular on an agenda that you or anyone else is really interested in, or something that happened that I may have missed, shoot me an email at matthew.schooley@patch.com and I am happy to look into it. I really appreciate your passion for the site, and appreciate your interest in Patch. I'm trying my best to get interesting local news on the site, and am always looking to improve my coverage. Thanks for your comments, and have a great spring-like (FINALLY) day!

Grateful that Winstanley bought the CVS. Can't wait to see what they turn it into!

I'm hoping they keep CVS as is ... it's the easiest pharmacy to get in and out of, rather than having to hit the lights to get to the other CVS or Walgreens, then pull out in the midst of traffic.
