Storm Center: No On-Street Parking, Library and Town Hall Re-Opening Late on Friday

Parking/Trash

We haven't received word of a snow emergency yet, but the Chelmsford Police Department reports that no on-street parking is currently allowed.

UPDATED 12:07 p.m.- There is no cancellation for trash pickup. On-street parking is prohibited until 6 a.m. on Friday.

Updated 1:28 p.m. - There will be trash pickup on Friday, but it may be delayed according to Town Manager Paul Cohen. 

Cancellations

Chelmsford Public Schools and Nashoba Tech have cancelled all classes and events for Thursday.
The library is closed as of 4 p.m., and will re-open at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3

Town Manager Paul Cohen has announced that town hall will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday and re-open on Friday at 11 a.m.

Nashoba Valley Technical High School principal Denise Pigeon has announced at approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday that school is cancelled as well.

Weather Forecasts

As of 8:15 a.m. on Thursday

Accuweather: A potential 14 inches from Thursday morning to Friday morning, with wind gusts from the north at nearly 50 mph on Thursday night.

National Weather Service: Snow will end around noon on Friday, with total Thursday/Friday accumulation around 4 to 10 inches. Thursday night wind chill estimated at -15. 

Weather Channel: Approximately 2 inches on Wednesday, another 6 to 10 on Thursday, with approximately 1 to 3 inches on Friday, tapering off in early afternoon.
