Parking Ban Declared, Trash Pick Up Delayed Due to Incoming Snow

Snow is expected to begin early Wednesday, and Chelmsford could see close to a foot of the white stuff.

Wednesday's likely snowstorm is already having an impact in Chelmsford.

According to the Chelmsford Police Department Twitter account, a parking ban is in place on Wednesday running from 6 a.m. until Thursday at 6 a.m.

"Let the good plows roll!," police tweeted.

In addition, the town announced on its website that trash and recycling pick up have also been impacted by the upcoming storm.

Wednesday through Friday collection has been delayed by one day due the storm, which is expected to begin early Wednesday morning.

Residents with questions about trash collection are asked to call Republic Services at 1 (800) 442-9006. Anyone with recycling issues is encouraged to call Waste Management at 1 (800) 972-4545.
